Slow making, shared space.

At Patchwork, we are passionate about slow making as both a practice and a philosophy. We’re here for the stitches that take time, the half-finished projects, and the conversations that happen when your hands are busy. Fiber arts give us a reason to step out of the rush, make something with care, and slow down—together.

Through workshops, meet-ups, and social gatherings, we welcome fiber artists of all levels into a shared space built on curiosity, generosity, and community. Patchwork is where intentional craft meets real connection—and where what we make is thoughtful, not fast.

  • Patchwork is a fiber arts social club in Los Angeles dedicated to knitting, sewing, crocheting, quilting, embroidery, needlepoint, and other fiber-based crafts. Through workshops, maker meet-ups, and community events, we bring together artists, hobbyists, and curious beginners, fostering an inclusive space to learn, share skills, and build meaningful connections through making.

  • We organize fiber arts workshops, maker meet-ups, and social events for artists and hobbyists of all levels. Each gathering is intentionally welcoming and low-pressure, designed to encourage learning, skill-sharing, and connection. From hands-on, skill-based programming to open-ended creative meet-ups, we create opportunities for people to come together, explore their craft, and build community through making.

  • Our mission is to create communal spaces for so-often solitary hobbies, where fiber arts—from knitting and sewing to crocheting, quilting, embroidery, and needlepoint—become a shared experience. We aim to foster connection, curiosity, and care by bringing people together to learn, make, and engage with their craft alongside others, cultivating a welcoming community where creativity and collaboration thrive.

Our Story

Patchwork began with a simple idea: to create a communal space for creative projects that are often solitary, home-based hobbies. The first Patchwork gatherings took place in a single home, where a small group of friends met for short sewing workshops, casual crafting meet-ups, and afternoons spent making together. These early events grew into a larger community of fiber artists and hobbyists who wanted connection, shared learning, and the chance to make alongside others. Today, Patchwork hosts workshops, maker meet-ups, and social events across Los Angeles, providing a welcoming space for people to learn, create, and connect through fiber arts.
