Fabric & Yarn Swap + Makers Social!

from $0.00

Saturday, August 29
11am-2pm
4652 W. Washington Blvd., Los Angeles, CA, 90016

Have some unused fabric or yarn taking up space? Or just want to gather with fellow makers? For the second time this year, Patchwork is throwing a combination stash swap/makers social — bring what you’re not using, take something you will, and hang for a bit!

How the Swap Works:

  • Bring fabric, yarn, notions, and other supplies that are ready for a new home. For the main swap, we ask that you bring at least ½ yard of fabric or enough yarn to make something meaningful. Smaller scraps are welcome, too—we’ll have a scraps bin for all those little bits that are too good to throw away.

  • Browse, dig around, and take something you’ll actually use. We just ask that you keep it reasonable so there’s plenty to go around!

  • Anything that doesn’t find a new home will be donated to Remainders, so please only bring materials that are still usable and ready for a second life.

Bring a WIP & Hang for a Bit:

  • This is also a makers social, so bring a WIP if you have one—we’ll have seating for stitching, chatting, and getting to know other folks in the fiber arts community.

  • We’ll have some amazing vendors popping up. Enjoy sweet treats from Generous Cookie Co., sip some matcha from Nolie’s Whisk, and get something chainstitch embroidered by Coastal Weather (bring an article of clothing or something you want customized, just try to avoid thin cotton fabric, stretch materials, or leather!).

Help Us Keep the Swaps Going <3

  • Participation in the swap is free, but a $5 or $10 donation is always appreciated to help cover the cost and labor that goes into making these events happen.

Cancellation Policy:

Our workshops are intentionally small so everyone has plenty of space, support, and time to create. Because of our limited capacity, each cancellation makes a big difference.

  • Cancel 14 or more days before your workshop: You'll receive a full refund to your original payment method.

  • Cancel between 48 hours and 14 days before your workshop: We'll issue you a Patchwork credit that can be used toward any future workshop or retail purchase.

  • Less than 48 hours before your workshop (or no-shows): Unfortunately, we aren't able to offer refunds or credits.

If you can't make it, you're always welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend—just send us their name and email before the workshop begins.

If Patchwork needs to cancel or reschedule a workshop for any reason, you'll have the choice of a full refund or a credit toward a future event.

We know life happens, and we'll always do our best to be kind and accommodating. Thanks for understanding that these policies help us continue offering small, thoughtfully curated workshops for our community.

Parking:

If you are driving to the workshop, there is only street parking on Washington Blvd. and surrounding residential streets. Make sure to allot enough time to find parking in advance of the workshop’s start time.

Photo/Video Disclaimer:

By joining us, you consent to being photographed or filmed for Patchwork’s promotional use. Although we aim to keep photography and videography minimal and will try our best to primarily capture images without discernible faces, your presence at the event may still be documented. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let us know in advance!
