Arm-Knitted Blanket Workshop

from $60.00

Saturday, December 19 · 10:00am–1:00pm
4652 W. Washington Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90016

No needles necessary! Join us at Patchwork for a cozy morning of arm knitting, where we'll turn chunky, super-soft yarn into a handmade throw blanket using nothing but our hands.

In this beginner-friendly workshop, we'll walk through the basics of arm knitting, from casting on to creating your stitches and binding off. No previous knitting experience is needed — just a little patience and a willingness to get your hands in the yarn.

You'll leave with a chunky throw blanket (roughly 40”x50”) that's perfect for curling up on the couch, gifting to someone you love, or keeping all to yourself this winter.

Whether you're brand new to knitting or simply looking for a fun, low-pressure way to spend a morning making something, this workshop is for you.

Skill Level

All levels welcome! No previous knitting experience necessary.

Registration Options

Bring Your Own Yarn — $60

Bring at least 8 skeins of your own Jumbo (Weight 7) yarn. Please make sure your yarn is labeled Weight 7 so you have enough to complete your blanket.

Yarn Included — $125

We'll provide 8 skeins of Lion Brand Cozy Luxe yarn, a machine-washable, velvety-soft yarn that's perfect for a cozy throw. We'll have a curated selection of neutral color options available on the day of the workshop. Color choices will be first come, first served, so you'll have the opportunity to mix and match colors to create a striped blanket or stick with one color for a more uniform look.

What's Included

  • 2.5 hours of step-by-step instruction and guidance on how to arm-knit and cleanly join skeins of chunky yarn

  • All materials needed to complete your throw (with the yarn-included registration option)

  • A cozy morning of making at Patchwork

What to Bring

  • If you've selected the bring-your-own-yarn option, please bring your 8 skeins of Jumbo (Weight 7) yarn.

  • Any snacks or drinks you’d like to consume during the workshop time.
