$65.00

Two sessions available!

Saturday, June 13 at 10:00am-12:30pm OR Monday, June 22 at 6:30-9:00pm
4652 W. Washington Blvd., Los Angeles, CA, 90016

Learn the basic techniques of knitting stranded colorwork in a 2.5-hour class! We will make adorable pouches, an easy project designed specifically for learning stranded colorwork.

You’ll learn:

  • How to hold and tension yarn and project when using two colors

  • How to follow a colorwork chart (used more commonly than written instructions)

  • Why and when to hold one color under the other to enhance readability of design motifs

Class Level: Intermediate:

Prior knowledge of knitting in the round is required, as all stranded colorwork is knitted in the round and there won’t be time during our session to cover these basics. However, as long as you can knit in the round, new knitters are very welcome and you don’t need any additional skills to be able to begin colorwork.

Materials:

There are two options for materials:

Option 1: Purchase your materials from the instructor before class ($15)

Option 2: Bring your own materials.

  • Worsted weight yarn

    • Color A | Approx. 200 yds

    • Color B | Approx. 200 yds

To Bring from Home:

  • Size 7 US cable needles or double-pointed needles

  • 2 stitchmarkers
