Quilted Pie Carrier Workshop

$145.00

Sunday, November 22 · 10:00am–4:00pm (or until finished)
4652 W. Washington Blvd., Los Angeles, CA, 90016

Just in time for Thanksgiving, join us at Patchwork to sew a quilted pie carrier for your next holiday gathering! This is a fun, practical project that adds a handmade touch to bringing a pie to your next holiday dinner (or makes a perfect gift for the baker in your life!).

Following the Pie Carrier pattern by Suzy Quilts, we'll walk through making a pie carrier from start to finish, from cutting fabric and sewing the strap and corner loops to assembling and quilting the finished piece. You'll get to choose a front and backing fabric from our curated selection, then add your own finishing touches to make the carrier your own.

Skill Level: Confident beginner to intermediate (and beyond). Experience using a sewing machine is a must; we will not be going over machine basics. You should be confident threading the machine, winding a bobbin, sewing straight lines, and turning corners. No prior quilting experience is necessary.

What's Included: All fabric, batting, interfacing, cutting tools, and sewing machines are provided.

What to Bring: Just yourself! We'll have everything you need to get started. If you have your own fabric that you'd prefer to use for this project, you are welcome to bring it.

Come spend the day sewing with us and leave with something handmade to bring to your Thanksgiving table.

Cancellation Policy:

Our workshops are intentionally small so everyone has plenty of space, support, and time to create. Because of our limited capacity, each cancellation makes a big difference.

  • Cancel 14 or more days before your workshop: You'll receive a full refund to your original payment method.

  • Cancel between 48 hours and 14 days before your workshop: We'll issue you a Patchwork credit that can be used toward any future workshop or retail purchase.

  • Less than 48 hours before your workshop (or no-shows): Unfortunately, we aren't able to offer refunds or credits.

If you can't make it, you're always welcome to transfer your ticket to a friend—just send us their name and email before the workshop begins.

If Patchwork needs to cancel or reschedule a workshop for any reason, you'll have the choice of a full refund or a credit toward a future event.

We know life happens, and we'll always do our best to be kind and accommodating. Thanks for understanding that these policies help us continue offering small, thoughtfully curated workshops for our community.

Parking:

If you are driving to the workshop, there is only street parking on Washington Blvd. and surrounding residential streets. Make sure to allot enough time to find parking in advance of the workshop’s start time.

By joining us, you consent to being photographed or filmed for Patchwork’s promotional use. Although we aim to keep photography and videography minimal and will try our best to primarily capture images without discernible faces, your presence at the event may still be documented.
